Saint Luke, The Gospel Physician
   

The Book of St. Luke was written by a gentile doctor who also wrote The Acts of the Apostles.
Here he is depicted helping to dress a flesh wound of a local boy. His pensive mother looks on. In the background
one can see some of the parchments containing his writings. It is not surprising that Luke
writes in more detail about the miracles and healings of Jesus than any of the other 3 Gospel writers.
